Job Opportunity:

We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our team in the Midwest Region.

The Junior Site Engineer will assist with all aspects of project management, including health, safety, environment and quality procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements for every site operation.
  • Undertaking tasks relating to safety, setting out and recording of resources.
  • Reviewing project drawings and specifications for all works being delivered by our teams.
  • Assisting with sustainability procurement policy.
  • Working with sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Dealing effectively with challenges within site crews.
  • Assisting site personnel and liaison with the Project Manager.
  • Understanding construction sequences as works advance.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of HSEQ requirements.
  • Ability to interpret site information such as drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate with peers both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in civil engineering or utilities business.
  • Enjoyment of working in the outdoor environment.
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a site role.
  • Required qualifications: Safepass, Manual Handling, Full Clean Driving licence.
  • Training required but not essential: Sign, Lighting & Guarding at Roadworks, Location of Underground Services.
  • Team building and leadership skills.
  • Well-established procedures to work within.
