Job Role Overview

The role of National Account Manager is pivotal in building and executing joint business strategies with key clients.

  • Act as the primary liaison for ongoing customer engagement, supported by the NBM team.
  • Manage promotional planning, volume forecasting, expenditure projections, and ROI reviews to drive sales growth.
  • Lead the range review process – from stakeholder coordination to QBR preparation and new product submissions.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and S&OP teams to ensure accurate forecasting and demand planning.

Key qualifications include:

  • Commercial acumen and self-sufficiency as a National Account Executive or Account Manager.
  • Strong understanding of grocery retail operations.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results on time.
  • Analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Financial expertise – confident in forecasts, budgets, and trade expenditure.
  • Experience working with Coles, Woolworths, or Independent channels is advantageous.
  • Confidence in negotiation and deep understanding of trading dynamics.
