We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Utilities and Catchments team as a Graduate Environmental Officer. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a range of projects and initiatives that help shape and connect our City.

As a graduate, you will work alongside industry leaders, conduct initial environmental assessments, obtain statutory approvals, and oversee environmental aspects of construction and land rehabilitation for key City assets. You will collaborate with project managers to provide technical guidance on identifying critical environmental issues, interpreting State and Local legislation, and advising on avoidance and mitigation strategies to influence project design and ensure optimal environmental outcomes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting initial environmental assessments and obtaining statutory approvals;
  • Oversight of environmental aspects of construction and land rehabilitation for key City assets;
  • Collaborating with project managers to provide technical guidance;

What We Are Looking For

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a recognised bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time.
