Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to join our team. As an Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective management of environmental compliance across our airport precinct.

Your primary responsibility will be to implement and oversee environmental management programs for tenants and contractors. This will involve conducting regular inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and our Environmental Management System (EMS).

You will also be responsible for reviewing and assessing Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for development and operational activities, as well as managing environmental monitoring programs such as water, air, noise, waste, and soil.

Furthermore, you will investigate and respond to environmental incidents in line with our procedures, deliver environmental inductions and training for staff, tenants, and contractors, and maintain accurate databases, records, and regulatory reporting.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. You will also have experience in implementing or working with Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 or similar), hands-on experience with inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and projects, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a current Queensland driver's licence are essential for this position.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in implementing or working with Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and projects.
