Key Responsibilities

As a Casual Facilities Team Leader at Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our operations. Your role will encompass overseeing inspections, pursuing cost-saving measures, and supporting our kitchen and events services teams.

Financial Returns
  • Work in line with business needs to optimize financial performance
  • Assist in monthly inspections to identify areas for improvement
  • Actively pursue cost-saving measures to reduce expenses
People
  • Assist chefs with food preparation and kitchen duties to maintain high standards of quality
  • Help with the receiving and storage of goods to ensure efficient inventory management
  • Demonstrate the proper use of chemicals and assist other departments with their chemical needs
Guest Experience
  • Ensure that all crockery and cutlery are maintained and cleaned in accordance with HACCP guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Provide assistance to customers when necessary to ensure a positive experience
Responsible Business
  • Cooperate and partner with management in implementing workplace health, safety, and wellbeing-related initiatives to promote a safe and healthy work environment
  • Participate in investigations of injuries and illnesses arising from workplace activities and recommend corrective actions to prevent or minimize recurrence
  • Facilitate the reporting of workplace hazards to those who can implement corrective actions
  • Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required to ensure personal safety
  • Use safety and emergency equipment, plant materials, tools, and substances provided in the workplace as directed
  • Report workplace hazards to the supervisor
  • Report injuries or illnesses arising from workplace activities
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
  • Strong understanding of HACCP guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE to ensure personal safety
  • Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with various departments
