Job Title

A commodities expert will support the trading desk by delivering market insights and fundamental analysis.

The analyst will collaborate with traders, researchers, and technologists to inform trading strategies.

  • Conduct macroeconomic and geopolitical analysis on commodity markets.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and government policies affecting commodity trading.
  • Evaluate upcoming market catalysts and identify opportunities.
  • Generate trading ideas based on expected market movements.
  • Track supply/demand trends, inventory levels, shipping flows, policy changes, and other market factors.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in a commodities-focused role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Chinese commodity markets and macroeconomic factors.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data handling and visualization.
  • Familiarity with market intelligence platforms.
