Key Responsibilities:

As Business Development Manager - Hospitality Sales for the Australian Turf Club, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth through the development and execution of effective sales strategies and tactics. Your primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities, identifying and pursuing key targets, and building strong relationships with existing customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to meet business objectives and drive revenue growth
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry networks and relationships to secure hospitality sales and sponsorship acquisitions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, industry bodies, and government representatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up
  • Conduct product costing and budgeting analysis, developing recommendations and producing reports for management information
  • Manage sales processes and administrative duties, including booking confirmations, payments, contracts, and database management

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:Proven experience in new business generation, account management, and sales developmentSound understanding of hospitality sales and sponsorship acquisition strategiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholdersProblem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work through complex issues and guide others in their resolutionComputer literacy and proficiency in operating a CRM system, EBMS, and Microsoft software
