{"About the Role": "We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Specialist to join our team at Settlement Services International (SSI Group). As a key member of our Advocacy, Research and Communications team, you will play a critical role in driving impactful engagement across our network of member organisations.

Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain relationships with our members, stakeholders, and other key partners. You will work closely with our Government Relations team and Policy team to develop joint government relations and advocacy opportunities between SSI and its members.

In addition, you will engage in events and networking opportunities to raise awareness of our overarching goals and objectives. You will also support communications with our members, including project updates, membership queries, and networking sessions.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing relationship management to SSI Members and agreed community sector stakeholders
* Building trusted relationships with stakeholders to position SSI for the future
* Working with SSI's Government Relations team and the Policy team to develop joint government relations and advocacy opportunities between SSI and its members
* Engaging in events and networking opportunities, including but not limited to the sector in which we all work, to raise awareness of the overarching goals and objectives of the SSI Group
* Capacity Building, Public Relations & Event support
* Supporting communications with SSI's members, including project updates, membership queries, and networking sessions
* Implementing the member strategy, including coordination of professional development initiatives such as media skills training, government relations skills training and social and PR skills training
* Developing, planning and delivering member-focused activities, including education workshops, webinars, events, conferences and social functions
* Working with SSI's Internal Communications Specialist to raise the profile of SSI's members, their purpose, origin and their role in the formation of SSI
* Managing Member relations meetings
* Coordinating and managing member meetings to ensure appropriate governance with all documentation being accurate and distributed appropriately
* Assisting with administration where required, including reporting and distribution lists
* Attending meetings and functions as delegated

* Ability to identify emerging issues, opportunities, to show initiative
* High level interpersonal skills
* Ability to set priorities, plan work programs, meet deadlines and manage time effectively
* Good problem-solving skills
* Effective organisational and planning skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong customer service orientation
* Team player with a willingness to work autonomously
