HSEQ Lead

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSEQ) professional to lead the effective execution of our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems. As the single point of contact for all project HSEQ functional support, you will provide effective leadership and management of the HSEQ team to ensure projects successfully deliver on Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality objectives.

- Actively contribute as a key member to the Leadership team by taking ownership of the role while consistently demonstrating the Company's values and standards to the wider team.
- Implement and maintain our HSEQ Integrated Management System (accredited to ISO 14001; 9001 standards).
- Ensure the HSEQ team coaches and directs the site project teams in positive HSE activities, observations, and inspections to ensure the highest level of HSE culture.
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to Project Team members and delivery partners to implement approved HSEQ plans and documentation with a strong focus on quality.
- Set clear targets to demonstrate action regarding non-conformance, incidents, and injuries, complaints, and compliments, suggestions, and observations.
- Conduct internal audits, investigations, and risk assessments to measure success and promote action.
- Manage injury, illness, worker's compensation, and return to work processes.
- Manage Training for relevant departments regarding compliance for personnel within their respective roles.
- Provide technical expertise and key input for the HSEQ components in the preparation of Tender documentation.
- Foster the ability to influence people by setting direction and providing sufficient communications to encourage consultation and collaboration at all levels.
- Maintain, review, and update company policy and procedures in line with legislation, regulations, and codes of practice with respect to services our business delivers.
- Build and maintain strong, cooperative, and respectful working relationships across all stakeholders, including the project team and delivery partners.
- Communicate weekly, monthly, and quarterly HSEQ Reports to the business.
- Hold tertiary qualifications in WHS, OHC, and/or closely related discipline.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessing (TAE 41016/TAE40122).
- Proven HSEQ Leadership experience in similar space (civil, construction, and mining), with experience leading teams, preferably multi-disciplined.
- Extensive knowledge and practical application of safety management systems, risk management, and behavioural safety.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practice including injury management, workers compensation, and return to work procedures.
- High level of interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels of the Group to build effective relationships and promote culture.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001; 9001 Standards and experience in implementation of the IMS associated.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Share Point, and software system use such as STEMS or similar HSEQ MS.
- Confident in APP uses for phone/iPad for infield reporting.
