Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the preparation of detailed cost estimates for infrastructure and construction projects.


The successful candidate will have extensive experience with site construction methodologies, including the compilation of detailed cost estimates inclusive of all required site cranage, labour, plant & equipment resources.


This role will involve close collaboration with key internal teams for technical reviews of cost-based estimates, as well as senior management for pre-submission approval reviews.


The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret project specific RFT documentation, design drawings & detailed specifications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed material take-offs, labour, plant and equipment cost assessments.
  • Obtain and analyse supplier & subcontractor quotations.
  • Liaise with internal resources for compilation of site construction methodologies to support detailed cost-based estimates.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for internal technical reviews, prior to submission.
  • Prepare detailed tender submission proposals and presentations for clients.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years proven experience as a Construction Estimator for projects in the NSW/Australian market.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel.
  • Familiarity with AS/NZS 5131 and TfNSW specifications B201 (CC2/CC3) an advantage.
