About You
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience as an Estimator for structural steel and site construction, preferably for Tier 2 and Tier 3 projects.
  • Experience with large project tenders.
  • Experience with estimation of architectural finishes (preferred).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to read, analyse & interpret RFT documentation, drawings & detailed specifications.
  • Sound knowledge of TfNSW B201, CC2/CC3 and AS/NZS 5131 (preferred).
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent skills with all Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project (preferred).
  • Strong commercial acumen and awareness to assess potential risks to the business.
  • Highly professional approach with clients and internal teams, with strong ability to build and maintain quality relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse RFT documentation, scope of works, drawings and project specific specifications.
  • Conduct detailed material take-offs, labour and equipment cost assessments.
  • Obtain quotations for materials and services from suppliers & subcontractors.
  • Liaise with internal resources for compilation of construction methodologies.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for internal technical reviews, prior to submission.
  • Prepare detailed tender submission proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Estimates for varying types of projects ranging from $20k to $10M.
  • High attention to detail with a solutions-based approach.
