As Assistant Fire, Life & Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the fire, medical, and security requirements of our guests and staff are met through the implementation of professional fire, medical, and security practices.

  • You will support the Director Safety & Security in team development and day-to-day managerial responsibilities.
  • In the absence of the Director Safety & Security, you will assume their role and responsibilities.
  • You will assist the Director Safety & Security in critical functions such as maintaining fire safety compliance, staff training, completing audits and risk assessments, investigations, assisting with departmental timecard management, and supporting the Medical Centre.
  • Additional responsibilities include providing first aid assistance, welcoming and conducting new team member orientations, participating in training programs, interacting with colleagues in a professional manner, delivering high-quality service to guests and staff, and monitoring staffing costs.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Senior First Aid & CPR Certificates or higher are required.
  • A Certificate III – Security Operations is highly desirable.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate – QLD current is also required.
  • Competence in using computers and common software packages is necessary.
  • Knowledge of fire systems and detectors is desirable but not essential.
  • A QLD Security license, minimum Security Officer (Unarmed), (Monitoring) & (Crowd Control), is also required.
  • Awareness of resorts' duty of care and Work Health and Safety Laws, legislation, policies, and procedures is necessary.
