This is a senior clinical position within the Emergency Department, focusing on providing timely interventions for consumers presenting with mental health and substance use issues.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with consultants to drive high-level clinical decision-making, ensuring quality outcomes for consumers.
Key responsibilities include assessing risks related to clients' substance use and its impact on managing mental health issues.
Additionally, they will provide support and guidance on patient well-being in relation to substance use presentations.
Strong collaboration with the Mental Health and AOD Hub team, as well as other emergency department teams, is essential for delivering comprehensive care.
Ideal candidates will possess experience in addiction medicine or related fields and have knowledge of the SSDTA and Victorian AOD service sector.
Mandatory immunisations/vaccinations and COVID-19 vaccination requirements must also be met.
