AOD Counselling Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced AOD counsellor to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based counselling to support individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug (AOD) use.
- This full-time position involves working with a diverse range of clients, providing supervision as needed, and contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in health or welfare, relevant experience working with Aboriginal communities, and a strong understanding of systemic issues such as racism and colonialism.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based counselling to reduce AOD-related harm, support behaviour change, and promote recovery.
- Provide supervision and support to colleagues as needed.
- Competitive salary equivalent to SCHADS Level 5 + super.
