Contract Administrator Job Summary

The role of a Contract Administrator is critical to ensuring the smooth operation and success of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all parties adhere to contractual obligations, applying them fairly and transparently.
  • Provide high-level contract supervisory services, including regular site inspections, facilitating site meetings, issuing Variation Orders and assessing contractual claims, processing Contractor's Requests for Information, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Offer strategic advice to assist in dispute resolution processes.
  • Implement contract administration policies and procedures as identified by senior management.
  • Act in accordance with organizational systems and protocols.
  • Implement post-contract performance evaluation systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project team members regarding cost, time, and quality issues.
  • Participate in the review and improvement of Quality Assurance procedures.

To be successful in this position, you will require knowledge of contract administration processes for traditional and non-traditional contracts, experience in administering government building contracts is highly desirable. You will need to have a strong understanding of contractual obligations and compliance requirements, proven ability to manage complex projects and resolve disputes effectively, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
