Job Description

As a seasoned professional, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional results in maintaining a portfolio of NEXTDC data centres within New South Wales. This role involves managing senior team members and providing day-to-day support to ensure the success of the facility team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of data centre operations, including electrical and mechanical configurations, rack management, design, and installation. They will also possess a strong understanding of high-density data centre power, cooling approaches, and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage operational risk to ensure 100% uptime
  • Obtain and maintain relevant data centre certifications
  • Ensure operational excellence and achieve UTI uptime operational sustainability Gold standard
  • Manage the operational budget to maintain critical plant at optimum efficiency
  • Manage facility capacity planning to forecast and maximise capital investment

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of data centre operations
  • Strong understanding of high-density data centre power and cooling technologies
  • Experience with operational reporting, capacity planning, and budget forecasting
  • Effective relationship building and interpersonal skills
