Special Events Coordinator

The Australian War Memorial is a renowned institution responsible for commemorating Australia's rich history, particularly its wartime experiences. As a member of our team, you will be part of a dedicated group that organises and delivers various commemorative events and ceremonies throughout the year.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, with experience in coordinating projects from planning to execution. They should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members to achieve desired outcomes.
This role requires the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also have excellent administrative and communication skills, with attention to detail and a willingness to participate in government procurement and WHS processes.
In terms of specific duties, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the planning and delivery of assigned ceremonial and event projects, including official visits. You will take lead on assigned projects under the guidance of senior team members and managers, while also assisting other team members in delivering their projects.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This figure may vary depending on individual circumstances.
