Facilities Operations Specialist

This is a key role in our organization, responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of our sterile pharmaceutical facility. The Facilities Operations Specialist will oversee all site-based maintenance programs and manage building management, mechanical, electrical, fire, security, and environmental monitoring systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles, including change management, quality risk management, and good documentation practices. They will be responsible for ensuring that engineering activities are performed in accordance with our Quality Management System regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage general facilities and systems, including building management, mechanical, electrical, fire, security, and environmental monitoring systems;
  • Maintain plant and equipment registers and perform routine maintenance tasks;
  • Plan and supervise contractors as needed to ensure compliance with GMP regulations;
  • Perform ad-hoc repairs and troubleshoot issues as they arise;
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal facility performance.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in a technical field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering;
  • Relevant industry experience, preferably in Pharmaceutical sterile manufacturing;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Advanced computer literacy and sound keyboarding skills;
  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements and ability to apply them in a practical setting.
