Finance and Commercial Expert

This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports for Defence projects and sustainment.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on financial and commercial matters.
  • Support invoice processing, asset reconciliations, and impairment reviews.
  • Contribute to Defence-specific reporting (e.g. MPR, PPRIP, SPMS).
  • Provide advice on compliance with financial legislation and Defence frameworks.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience in project finance or Defence financial roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in MILIS and financial management systems.
  • Understanding of Defence financial frameworks and reporting tools.
  • Ideal relevant qualifications (AQF 6 or higher).

Due to the nature of the work, a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance is required.
