Job Opportunity

This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:

  • Preparing and analysing financial reports for Defence projects and sustainment.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on financial and commercial matters.
  • Supporting invoice processing, asset reconciliations and impairment reviews.
  • Contributing to Defence-specific reporting (e.g. MPR, PPRIP, SPMS).
  • Providing advice on compliance with financial legislation and Defence frameworks.
About the Position

The Finance Officer will support complex financial reporting and commercial functions within Defence projects ensuring compliance stakeholder engagement and delivery of financial outcomes.

The successful candidate will have experience in project finance or Defence financial roles strong analytical skills and commercial acumen proficiency in MILIS and financial management systems and understanding of Defence financial frameworks and reporting tools.

Required Expertise
  • 5+ years' experience in project finance or Defence financial roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in MILIS and financial management systems.
  • Understanding of Defence financial frameworks and reporting tools.

Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
