The role of a Merchandising Strategist plays a pivotal part in driving business goals through the optimization of store layouts.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute impactful merchandising strategies that deliver exceptional customer value, commercial goals, and prioritize supermarket objectives.
- Utilize merchandising technology to create action lists that yield space-specific solutions resulting in efficient and effective commercial outcomes.
- Lead insights-driven recommendations grounded in strong analytics to inform strategic decisions.
- Employ deep critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize range, merchandising, and operational objectives.
- Collaborate seamlessly across the organization to provide vital support to valued partners and stakeholders.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in relevant roles such as category analyst, data & insight analyst, finance analyst, pricing analyst - OR
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related subject with equivalent professional experience
- Proficient understanding of Google & Microsoft systems, with intermediate excel functions such as pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting
- Basic to intermediate GCP and/or SQL knowledge is advantageous
- Knowledgeable in agency datasets (Quantium, Shopper Intelligence, Circana or equivalent)
