Children and Families Service Manager

The Team Leader oversees intake, assessment, and care planning processes to ensure the best outcomes for children, youth, and families in statutory care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each family
- Mentor and supervise support workers and practitioners to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Cultivate strong relationships with families, carers, and external stakeholders to drive collaborative practice
- Ensure compliance with child protection legislation and best practice to safeguard vulnerable populations
- Promote culturally safe services that respect the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Contribute to continuous improvement and service innovation to address emerging challenges
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field
- At least 3 years' experience in child protection or youth/family services, preferably in a leadership capacity
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development principles
