Lead a Multidisciplinary Team Delivering High-Quality Services

The Team Leader oversees intake, assessment, and care planning processes to ensure the best outcomes for children, youth, and families in statutory care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each family
  • Mentor and supervise support workers and practitioners to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Cultivate strong relationships with families, carers, and external stakeholders to drive collaborative practice
  • Ensure compliance with child protection legislation and best practice to safeguard vulnerable populations
  • Promote culturally safe services that respect the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and service innovation to address emerging challenges

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field
  • At least 3 years' experience in child protection or youth/family services, preferably in a leadership capacity
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development principles
