Data Governance Expert

Join a dynamic team as an Enterprise Data Governance Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data management. In this key position, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and governance of critical master data within our systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and maintaining SAP master data in a complex, multi-domain environment. With a strong understanding of data lifecycle management and best practices, you will lead root cause analysis and remediation of master data issues in collaboration with IT, business units, and Digital teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data across domains.
- Define and implement data quality rules, validation logic, and exception handling routines to improve data trustworthiness and reduce manual rework.
- Lead root cause analysis and remediation of master data issues in collaboration with IT, business units, and Digital teams.
- Support the rollout and optimization of data governance tools and frameworks.
- Act as the enterprise subject matter expert (SME) for master data structure, processes, and integration with other enterprise systems.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certification or formal training in SAP Master Data Management – highly desirable.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining SAP master data in a complex, multi-domain environment.
- Experience in supporting SAP implementations, upgrades, or system integration projects.
- Additional certifications in Data Management or Data Quality – advantageous.
