Job Description

As a Data Centre Construction and Fitout Project Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for large-scale data centre projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for client-side matters, advocating for our needs and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

  • Project Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and oversight for data centre construction and fitout projects.
  • Client Representation: Serve as the key liaison between clients and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project success.
  • Scope & Schedule Management: Develop and manage comprehensive project scope documents and detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Budget Control: Maintain strict budget control and track project expenditures to guarantee cost-effective delivery.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee all construction and fitout contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Implement robust QA/QC programmes to guarantee projects meet industry standards and best practices.
  • Communication & Reporting: Provide transparent communication with stakeholders, delivering regular progress reports and updates.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5-10+ years' relevant experience in large-scale Greenfield/Brownfield projects in the data centre industry or similar asset class.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, including scope management, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex project challenges.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
