Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Centre Construction Manager, responsible for providing leadership and direction for data centre construction and fitout projects. As the primary point of contact for client-side matters, you will advocate for our needs and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for data centre construction and fitout projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timeline.
- Client Representation: Act as the main liaison for client-side communication, ensuring effective collaboration and issue resolution.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Scope & Schedule Management: Develop and manage comprehensive project scope documents and detailed project schedules, identifying and mitigating risks that may impact timelines.
- Budget Control: Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring cost-effective delivery and maintaining a strict budget.
- Contract Administration: Oversee all construction and fitout contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Implement robust QA/QC processes to guarantee the project meets industry standards and best practices.
- Communication & Reporting: Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-10+ years' relevant experience in large-scale Greenfield / Brownfield projects in the Data Centre industry or similar highly serviced asset class, covering the entire project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Diploma with 10 years or greater trade experience, with at least 5 years in a management position, such as Electrician or Building Controls.
- Ability to deliver an inspiring team vision, motivating others to exceed their initial aspirations.
- Strong leadership skills, confronting and eliminating challenges and barriers to effective team operation.
