About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at The State of Queensland. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the production and presentation of high-quality and accurate food items for patients and clients of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production and presentation of food items, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Supervise and assist staff in the carrying out of operational duties, particularly in the production and distribution areas.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and safe food handling practices.
  • Maintain accurate records, including temperature monitoring, goods receipting, and cleaning schedules.
  • Participate in the Nutrition and Food Service Management Team and provide training to new staff.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as safe food handling practices.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, and to analyze data to inform decision-making.
