Role Overview

As a vital member of our culinary team, you will report directly to the Executive Chef and play a key role in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. Your leadership will be essential in guiding the culinary staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Your hands-on involvement will contribute significantly to the ongoing success of both Lennons Restaurant & Bar and Hibiscus Bar & Terrace, providing a dynamic opportunity to advance your culinary career within a thriving international organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to enhance culinary standards that meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Lead training and development initiatives for team members, ensuring clear communication and regular meetings to inspire and motivate.
  • Assist in managing staff schedules and payroll to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Oversee ordering and inventory management, prioritizing local produce and supporting community suppliers.
  • Work alongside Sales & Marketing to plan and implement promotional events for all food and beverage outlets.
  • Focus on Hyatt's Top 20 fundamentals in food and beverage operations with the Executive Chef.
  • Foster a recruitment and retention strategy to cultivate Hyatt's future culinary talent.
  • Support compliance with HACCP standards and procedures in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a restaurant or five-star hotel setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Relevant culinary degree or certification.
  • Familiarity with HACCP standards and practices.
