Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our team at Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes, support senior chefs in maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality, and perform basic kitchen tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
    • Support senior chefs in maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Perform basic kitchen tasks, such as chopping, peeling, and cleaning, to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
    • Help in managing inventory by properly storing and handling ingredients and supplies.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene
    • Adhere to all food hygiene and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge.
    • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
