Reservations Professional

We are seeking a skilled Reservations Professional to join our team. This role involves maintaining accurate records, assisting in daily operations, and delivering exceptional customer service under the guidance of a supervisor.

A Little About Your Day-to-Day

  • Assist in the efficient operation of the Reservations Department, optimizing hotel occupancy and average rate.
  • Provide excellent customer service and create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that customer service standards are consistently met and product standards are achieved.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of departmental standards and procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints in a timely manner and resolve them to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Accurately maintain reports of booking correspondence.
  • Stay up-to-date with all modifications to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Interact with colleagues in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport, promote teamwork, and ensure effective communication.
  • Work effectively with customers and colleagues from diverse viewpoints, cultures, and countries.
  • Attend and participate in briefings, meetings, and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product and service knowledge to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.
  • Build strong relationships with regular clients and booking agents.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Administration, Hotel Management, or equivalent; 2 years' experience in the Hospitality industry with Front Office/Reservations experience.
  • Knowledge of PMS systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Literate and tech-savvy, with basic maths skills and strong communication skills.
  • Drive for results and excellent organizational skills to manage tight deadlines and balance long- and short-term goals.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Must have working rights for Australia.
