Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless guest experiences? As a Reservations Agent, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate records, assisting with day-to-day operations, and building strong relationships with our clients.

This is a fixed-term Full-time contract with a maximum duration of 6 months. You will work closely with the Reservations Manager to optimize hotel occupancy and average rate, creating a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the efficient operation of the Reservations Department, optimizing hotel occupancy and average rate.
  • Ensure customer service is of the highest standard by achieving product standards.
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints in a timely manner and resolve them to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Accurately report booking correspondence.
  • Stay up-to-date on all modifications to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Interact with colleagues in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport and promote team spirit.
  • Work effectively with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and participate in ongoing development opportunities.
  • Maintain high levels of product and service knowledge to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.
  • Develop rapport with regular clients and booking agents.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Administration, Hotel Management, or equivalent / 2 years' experience in Hospitality with Front Office/Reservations background.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven communication skills across phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Literate and tech-savvy, with basic math skills and strong communication skills.
  • Drive for results and excellent organizational skills to manage tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Must have working rights for Australia.
