We are currently seeking an Electrical Inventory Manager and Procurement Specialist to join our team based in Unanderra (Wollongong). This role plays a pivotal part in managing, organizing, and sourcing inventory within our warehouse and manufacturing facility to meet project demands and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors, maintain good relationships with existing suppliers, negotiate prices to ensure best value and leadtime, and ensure suppliers meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
  • Purchasing and Ordering: Prepare purchase orders for necessary goods and supplies, monitor inventory levels, and reorder stock as needed to ensure that purchases are cost-effective and meet quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory and purchases, perform regular inventory audits and stock counts, ensure stock rotation, work with store staff to ensure products are appropriately stored and managed, analyse consumption patterns, and adjust order quantities accordingly.
  • Cost Control and Quality Control: Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions, identify opportunities to save costs and improve efficiency, avoid overstocking or understocking by closely monitoring inventory data, inspect goods upon arrival to ensure they meet quality and quantity specifications, address any discrepancies or damaged items with suppliers, and keep track of quality-related supplier performance.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate purchasing records, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and delivery details, and maintain databases for suppliers and inventory.
