The Role

This leadership role provides after hours management of the nursing team, patient flow, and hospital operations.

It offers significant opportunity for professional development and career progression, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills, people leadership skills, and experience with staff coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards.
  • Support Nurse Unit Managers and Team Leaders of wards and departments.
  • Coordinate patient flow, including admissions, VMOs, emergency department, and paramedics.
  • Oversee patient and hospital staff safety.
  • Take lead in emergency codes and situations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Registered Nurse with 8+ years' experience and current AHPRA Registration.

Recent After Hours Coordinator or Nurse Unit Manager experience, critical care experience an advantage.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, people leadership skills, and computer literacy.
