Practice Development Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enhancing the capabilities of our regional offices in South Australia. This role involves providing expert guidance, resources, and support to office staff to drive quality improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of evidence-based social work practices, particularly in child protection contexts. They will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular practice audits to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted strategies to enhance quality.
  • Lead strategic projects aimed at building capability within the office, ensuring that all staff are equipped to deliver high-quality services.
  • Develop and source relevant training opportunities to promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Recognize skill gaps among office staff and facilitate training or other developmental activities to ensure they are well-equipped to meet service demands.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in evidence-based social work practice, particularly in child protection contexts.
  • Exceptional knowledge of issues affecting vulnerable populations, including their families and carers.
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide reflective supervision in a child protection context.
