Multidisciplinary Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Allied Health Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in Community Aged Care and Rehabilitation Service.
This is a permanent part-time position working 23 hours per week. The successful candidate will support a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social workers, Dietitians and Speech pathologists in delivering services to the aged community of Ryde and Hunters Hill LGAs.
The role involves assisting in providing both group and individual treatment programs empowering aged clients to maintain independence and improve quality of life. Job share will be considered for suitable applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate behaviours that reinforce collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment with stakeholders and patients.
- Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or willingness to undertake this training or equivalent qualification.
- Understand the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a large organisation; ability to work independently under the delegation of an AHP and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
- Identify skills to provide support for AHPs, clients, families and carers as required.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload within scope of practice and seek assistance when required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Currently hold a Class C Driver Licence.
