Health and Safety Role

This role requires a professional with extensive experience in health and safety to lead our team in implementing and maintaining our workplace health and safety management system.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WHS legislation, be able to adapt to changing environments, and possess excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of the workplace health and safety management system.
  • Leading the control of identified hazards where appropriate.
  • Providing assistance and guidance in the investigation of incidents.
  • Leading safety inspection processes.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to establish a sustained safety culture.
  • Establishing and ensuring ongoing consultation and communication with the team.

Qualifications required for this position include a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety. Additional qualifications in Training & Workplace Assessment are desirable.

About You
  • Proven experience in interpreting and applying WHS legislation.
  • Experience working in intensive rural and farming backgrounds is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy in MS Office.
