Freight Forwarding Coordinator Required for Import and Export Airfreight Processes:
">The role involves coordinating the timely and compliant handling of import and export airfreight processes. This includes preparing run sheets for direct AWB terminal collection, coordinating with drivers to arrange collection, and updating milestones for POD.
The successful candidate will ensure import freight is customs cleared before delivery, assist in locating misplaced cargo, and attend QF daily operation meetings to provide statistics on import and export shipments.
In addition, they will follow up with customs-held import shipments, chase customers for additional clearance information, arrange DAFF inspection bookings, handle export registration and EDNs, and negotiate with airlines to secure the best rates.
Key skills required include excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to learn and adapt to different systems used in the role. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of logistics and customer service principles.
