We are currently seeking a Customer Operations Professional to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.

FORWARDING EXPERTS WITH GLOBAL REACH & LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

As a Customer Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as key contact for allocated customers
  • Accepting and processing orders for handover to Operations
  • Staying informed on shipment and exception status for allocated customers
  • Proactively informing customer on shipment status and exceptions
  • Providing spot quotations and performing up-and cross-selling on inbound customer calls
  • Passing on leads to Sales
  • Handling customer inquiries
  • Handling customer requests with regard to Go Green topics
  • Taking and handling any customer complaints; solving customer complaints or assigning tasks to other functions
  • Acting as first contact point for customer claims for notification and reception of claims and respective document collection

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in airfreight and/or ocean-freight / Import operational roles (advantageous)
  • Minimum two (2) years previous experience in a Customer Operations environment or similar
  • Good knowledge of forwarding business, products and business systems
  • Strong excel skills required for client reporting requirements
  • Good knowledge of CS processes and systems
  • CargoWise & Expedient experience (advantageous)
  • Ability to identify and meet customer needs in a pleasant and friendly manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good telephone and E-mail skills
  • Commercial attitude
  • Good knowledge in English (verbal/written)
  • Results driven and attention to details
  • High degree of written, verbal and organisational skills
