Freight Forwarding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for managing and executing the transportation of goods from origin to destination.
Key Responsibilities:
- To act as the primary point of contact for allocated customers, ensuring timely communication and resolution of their queries and concerns.
- To monitor shipment progress, including setting up bookings and planning to meet customer-specific performance targets.
- To complete all bookings and prepare documentation in accordance with customer requirements and/or standard operating procedures (SOP).
- To accurately capture all services sold or provided and apply revenue and costs correctly.
Key Accountabilities:
- Achieving on-time delivery performance targets.
- Ensuring accurate and timely data entry and transport documentation.
- Minimizing freight costs while maintaining service levels.
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in freight forwarding/logistics.
- Proficiency with Cargowise or similar transportation management systems.
- Strong analytical and commercial negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and manage multiple priorities.
