Medrecruit is currently seeking a Mental Health Specialist to provide locum cover in a mental health unit located 2 hours North of Sydney.

The successful applicant will be working in a hospital setting, caring for adult mental health services in the community, for patients aged 18-65. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

About the Opportunity

This position offers a competitive salary package including travel reimbursement and accommodation. The base hourly rate is approximately $$120-$150 per hour, inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading, where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a mental health unit
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology or related field
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist
  • Experience working in mental health settings, preferably in adult services
