Job Description: We seek an experienced Director of Right to Information and Privacy to lead our RTI&P unit. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and expert advice on RTI and IP obligations, overseeing privacy activities and driving implementation of changes introduced by legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage RTI applications for the department and other portfolio bodies
  • Provide strategic leadership and expert advice on RTI and IP obligations
  • Oversee privacy activities, including complaints under the IP Act and reported breaches of the IP Act
  • Drive implementation of changes introduced by legislation

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need exceptional judgement and communication skills, with prior experience as a team leader and an RTI decision-maker. You will also draw on your expert working knowledge of government systems and processes to lead and develop a team of RTI practitioners.
