Structural Metal Engineer Opportunity

Regional Express is Australia's largest independent regional airline, operating a fleet of Saab 340 aircraft to various destinations. An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified individual to join the Engineering Department in the role of Structural Metal Engineer.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Base Maintenance Supervisor. The position responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Carry out Aircraft sheet metal repairs in accordance with SAAB repair statements and SAAB SRM.">
  • Conduct composite repairs in accordance with SAAB SRM and SAAB repair statements.">
  • Assist in corrosion/damage removal and assessment.">
  • Contribute to the development of improved structural repair processes and ICAs.">
  • Maintain company sheet metal tooling associated with the sheet metal workshop.">
  • Provide support in training of structural repair work and sheet metal practices.">
  • Ensure adherence to Regional Express' safety regulations.">
  • Offer sheet metal support at other bases and in AOG events.">
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures.">
  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft structural repairs.">
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • Demonstrate a motivated and enthusiastic attitude.">
  • Meet the requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card.">
