Role Summary:
A Structural Metal Engineer is required to carry out aircraft sheet metal repairs, composite repairs and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out Aircraft sheet metal repairs in accordance with SAAB repair statements and SRM.
- Carry out composite repairs in accordance with SAAB SRM and SAAB repair statements.
- Assist in corrosion/damage removal and assessment.
- Assist in the development of improved structural repair processes and ICAs.
- Maintain the company sheet metal tooling associated with the sheet metal workshop.
- Assist in training of structural repair work and sheet metal practices.
- Adhere to safety regulations.
- Provide sheet metal support at other bases and in AOG events.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures (MEA41322 or MEA41318).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft structural repairs.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
- Sound work ethics.
- Ability to meet the requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card.
Preferred Selection Criteria:
- Heavy maintenance experience.
- NDI experience or approvals.
- CASA B1 & A1 licence.
