Offshore Vessel Officer

Distinguished applicants are sought to fill key positions on our Offshore Vessels in Australia. These opportunities come with a casual arrangement and a rotating roster for 4 weeks.

Our ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in a similar position within a DP Offshore environment, ensuring safe operation and alignment with our company culture and business objectives.

  • Assist the Master in navigating and operating the vessel, utilizing strong communication skills to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience in Winch operations working on AHTS and/or PSV Offshore vessels is essential.
  • Lead emergency response operations, supporting the crew in safety drills, and ensure adherence to our Safety Management System and policies.
  • Act as the designated DP Operator, managing all associated duties, and maintain accurate navigation logbooks.
  • Oversee the vessel's stability, trim, and fuel management, contributing to its overall performance.
  • Develop and train deck crew members, promoting a positive team environment across the vessel.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Operating winches on AHTS and PSV Offshore vessels.
  2. Leading emergency responses.
  3. Maintaining navigation logbooks.
  4. Managing vessel stability.
  5. Trained deck crew.

Requirements and Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for this role:

  • Hold a current Chief Officer DP Unlimited Certificate of Competency.
  • Current/prior experience as Chief Officer Offshore vessels such as CSV, AHTS or PSV.
  • Dynamic Positioning Operators Certificate (DPO).
  • Winch operating experience/certified is beneficial.
  • Completed STCW Certification requirements for Offshore Marine.
  • GMDSS General Operators Certificate.
