The offshore energy sector is a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment that requires skilled professionals to maintain its momentum. A key player in this sector, GO OFFSHORE Pty Ltd (GO), is seeking the engagement of a highly experienced Anchor Handling Master for one of their prominent Australian oil and gas projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating anchor handling vessels, particularly those with UT 731 CD designs. They must be able to command a vessel safely and efficiently, navigate challenging offshore environments, and oversee complex anchor handling operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Vessel Command: Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel through navigation, maneuvering, and dynamic positioning.
  • Anchor Handling Operations: Executing complex anchor deployment, retrieval, and repositioning for offshore installations and drilling rigs.
  • Crew Management: Leading, supervising, and managing the vessel's crew to ensure their safety, well-being, and adherence to operational procedures and safety regulations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintaining strict compliance with international maritime regulations, conducting regular safety drills and inspections, and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinating routine maintenance and repairs of the vessel's machinery, equipment, and systems.

The successful candidate will hold a STCW Certificate of Competency as Master Foreign Going Unlimited, Dynamic Positioning Unlimited certification, and a minimum 10 years' experience as a foreign-going offshore Master Mariner. Additionally, they will possess demonstrated extensive anchor handling and tow operations experience onboard a UT 731 AHTS, supported by relevant sea service testimonials.

Key requirements include:

  • STCW Ships Security Officer Certificate
  • GMDSS General Operator Certificate
  • Current STCW Seafarers Medical
  • Passport with minimum 12 months validity including unlimited Australian Work Rights
