The Opportunity As a Payroll Manager, you will lead the payroll function based in Perth, manage and assist with the processing of payroll for Australia, Singapore, UK, Malaysia, and other operational regions as necessary.
You will also ensure compliance with laws and regulations in the various operational regions and drive continuous improvement, including systems and processes.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Perth CBD office, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the payroll function by being the subject matter expert on all payroll related matters (across multiple jurisdictions).
Manage and mentor a team of payroll officers.
Manage and assist with the end-to-end payroll function, including (but not limited to): Processing fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple jurisdictions including Australia, Singapore, UK and Malaysia; Ensuring all payroll related obligations for all jurisdictions are met (i.e. payroll tax, superannuation, CPF, National Insurance); Review / prepare various payroll reports / summaries / reconciliations.
Manage and assist with year-end reconciliations for all payroll jurisdictions.Where applicable, manage ad hoc payroll projects to improve / consolidate systems.
Drive process improvement and leverage payroll systems to enhance efficiencies.
Research and provide payroll advice and solutions for new payroll jurisdictions.
Essential Experience: Minimum 5-year experience as a Payroll Manager leading a team.
Experience managing end-to-end payroll across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience working with multiple awards and industrial agreements.
Demonstrated experience in driving Payroll strategy and projects.
Strong understanding of payroll practices, legislation, and compliance.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Definitiv payroll system knowledge (desirable).
