About the RoleThe Customer Service Officer will work closely with Sales Managers and internal teams at our location, managing customer enquiries, processing orders, coordinating logistics, and supporting production to meet lead times and high standards of customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to customer enquiries and referring to the appropriate Sales Manager or representatives when necessary.
- Solving simple customer problems and analysing customer service needs for communication to other departments.
- Liaising with finance, production, and logistics staff for internal sales support.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and customers.
- Securing and renewing orders, determining price, arranging delivery dates, and ensuring accurate pricing, lead times, order quantities, and delivery details.
- Ensuring customer orders are dealt with promptly, advising on stock shortages, and ensuring accurate invoicing detail.
- Producing and managing necessary documentation according to procedure, including detailed sales reports.
- Assisting debt collection by providing supporting documents and responding to queries from the finance team.
To succeed in this role, you will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong time management abilities, and a knack for problem-solving in high-volume environments. Proficiency in Excel is essential, and experience with ERP systems or the mining/manufacturing industries will be highly regarded.
