About the OpportunityWe are looking for experienced Mine Managers to join our growing team due to recent expansion opportunities.
The Big Bell mine has consistently performed above its designed capacity since commercial production began, with production reaching 1.13Mt of ore at 2.6g/t in recent years.
An extension of the Big Bell mine was approved, extending the overall mine life to more than 16 years while increasing the mined grade.
The Fender underground mine recommenced, providing additional feed to the processing hub and operating as an extension to the Big Bell mine.
The Role Includes:- Championing a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Providing visible leadership and driving productivity improvement initiatives.
- Coordinating mining activities with production teams, surveyors, geologists, drill and blast teams.
- Mentoring, training and developing members of the Technical Services team.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Managing underground and surface projects.
- Providing leadership to engineers and staff in their daily activities.
- Overseeing daily underground operations, including production, cost control and quality assurance.
- Supporting the Underground Manager when they are offsite.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience working at underground mining operations. Ideally with experience in operational leadership roles.
- First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency.
- Strong technical and infrastructure background.
- WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency.
