Lead Underground Mining Operations

Job Description:

As a seasoned mining supervisor, you will lead and coordinate underground mining crews to safely and efficiently achieve daily production targets. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain compliance with all site safety and operational procedures while collaborating with the underground foreman and other leaders to optimize underground operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct underground mining crews to ensure adherence to safety protocols and production targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and safety.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with crew members, promoting a culture of open communication and teamwork.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, production, and quality control.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A valid WA Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an underground mining supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • A strong safety mindset and a solid work ethic.
  • A current 'C' class WA Driver's Licence.
