Indigenous Banking Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our Indigenous Customer Assistance Line (ICAL) team. As an ICAL team member, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our remote Indigenous customers in Far North QLD and surrounding islands, NT, WA & far North SA.

Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain positive relationships with Indigenous customers and communities, ensuring they have access to the Bank's wide range of products and services. You will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering outstanding customer service, answering questions about their banking, promoting self-service options, and identifying issues and service gaps.

When not supporting customers directly, you will work with stakeholders, Community and Government Services, to support the bigger picture of assisting Indigenous customers with their everyday banking. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with communities, stakeholders, and other government and non-government agencies.

To be successful in this role, you will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated customer and community engagement skills, and the ability to work in collaboration with communities, stakeholders, and other government and non-government agencies. You will also need to have strong customer service experience with excellent attention to detail.
