Job Title: Retail Merchandiser

The Retail Merchandiser is a key role within our team, responsible for driving sales of our publications through various retail channels. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and hotels across assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit retailers to target metropolitan areas, with seasonal visits to regional areas, to promote our publications and maximize sales.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key retailers, distributors, and hotels to ensure effective product display, branding, and signage.
  • Identify new business opportunities through cold calling and generate leads to increase sales.
  • Provide a high level of customer support to existing accounts and serve as a point of contact for the Circulation team.
  • Liaise with Logistics Contractors to resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience in merchandising, retail, customer service, or sales is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively promote our publications.
  • Excellent customer focus, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent planning and priority setting skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A current and valid Australian Driver's license is required for this position.
